Champa Gali : Delhi’s Best Kept Secret

One of my friends, a travel enthusiast, once suggested me to visit this hidden treasure of culture and culinary delight “Champa Gali”, so, keeping his words in mind, on one fine winter afternoon ; I decided to meet an another school friend of mine at this Delhi’s less travelled , less explored and less talked corridor or gali of culture , coffee and confession.
This girl whom I was going to meet almost after 3 years , we spent preliminary years of school together only but her family got shifted to Hyderabad and see how the wheels of fortune spun and she had to move back to Delhi after marriage. Therefore we couldn’t  conceivably give up on this reunion; it had to be the best .
Champa Gali is barely half a km from Saket metro station , and so, we also decided to skip driving and take on a metro ride. It wouldn’t be amplification if I address Metro, as Delhi’s intrinsic part or lifeline. If you are in Delhi , you can’t miss metro rides.
Finally we were inside the quirky lanes of Champa Gali. Everything is seems like attention grabbing oddball. In the backdrop of rustic old charm of  rural French lane, it has a lot to offer, thematic cafeteria, charming coffee shops, art galleries , designer shops, organic knick- knack stores and glitzy labyrinthian outdoor seating.
Even we were baffled , what to choose, where to go or what to do as  Champa Gali is filled with endless , exotic and everlasting options . We wanted to have it all. Finally we paid a visit to this insta-worthy place called “Jugmug Thela”that offers palatable platter of munchies Or titbits . Pair them with those never ending talks, gusty gossips hearty laughs over piping hot or chilling cold coffee and you’re  good to go.Even there is a secret surprise inside the Jugmug Thela- A Reading Room.
We ordered one of their must-try dishes Pizza and teamed it up with luscious glass of Coffee. We had a lot to chat about, confer and capture. That day we realised that life is too short to waste. And it’s crazy how fast time flies and how things change little by little over the period of time. Now we’re married, open to the elements like new relationship, new world and a lot more new responsibility. We discussed and laughed about it all. Gradually, evening came down and we have to bid goodbye to each other. But unquestionably we discovered a hidden gem on that peculiar lane of Saudilajab which was once a mere junkyard only. This day would remain as one of the best day in our calendar.
